Pencils and Paper at the ready!

Our first art challenge of 2022, was to attempt either a self portrait or a drawing of someone else. The medium was pencil and the drawings were to demonstrate a good range of tonal values, soft and hard edges and to create a focal point.

Club member John Wharton agreed to judge the entries. John is a fantastic artist and is very generous with his advice and guidance to our members. At 90 years of age he is the club's oldest member and is proof of the power of Art to stimulate the mind and imagination.
